KEVIN BLECHDOM TECHNICAL RIDER (solo show) 2008

  1. a large keyboard
    • a grand piano with microphone(s) OR
    • an upright piano with microphone(s) OR
    • a full size polyphonic keyboard with preset piano sounds on a keyboard stand

  2. a small table (for laptop and effects) and a chair without arms

  3. a stereo 1/8" (mini-jack) to double mono 1/4" (jack) computer audio cable
(I carry one with me, but it often gets left behind or misplaced, so it's great when there's a backup)

  4. 4 DI boxes
    • two 1/4" jack outputs from computer
    • 1/4" jack output from banjo with built-in pickup
    • 1/4" jack output from keyboard (if it's not a piano)

  5. 2 microphones and 2 microphone stands (SM-57/SM-58/or equivalent, wireless is fun!)
    • one center stage
    • the second on a boom stand in front of the keyboard

  6. guitar/banjo stand

  7. lighting:
    • very simple spot light on center stage and on the piano
    • but also, frenetic frenzied lighting for appropriate moments/strobes/psychedelic effects
    • I like lighting clichˇs- the cheesier the better!

  8. please inform me of any other special features available at the venue (smoke machine, wind machines, snow machines, bubble machines, props, rotating stages) because I would like to take advantage of all available special features in order to present the best show possible!
